Glisha Dela Cruz


Glisha Dela Cruz is a Filipino-Canadian multi-award-winning singer, songwriter, and producer who teaches voice, piano, guitar, and ukulele with a creative, encouraging, and contemporary approach. With a background in performance, songwriting, audio engineering, and music production, she brings a well-rounded, modern perspective to her lessons and is passionate about helping students build confidence while developing strong technical and performance skills.

From a young age, Glisha trained in voice, sang in choirs, and performed throughout the Greater Vancouver Area before transitioning into writing and releasing her own original music. She later attended Douglas College’s Music Technology Program, where she graduated with top honors.

Today, she is an independent recording artist whose music has earned over four million streams worldwide. Her work has received recognition including Pop Artist of the Year at the Fraser Valley Music Awards (2024), R&B Artist of the Year (2023), and First Place in the Dakota Leslie Fan Vote. She has performed across Canada and the United States at venues and festivals including Surrey Fusion Festival, Surrey Canada Day, and Sofar Sounds in Vancouver, Seattle, and Toronto.

As an instructor at The Tempo Club, Glisha creates a safe, supportive, and inspiring learning environment where students feel empowered to explore their creativity and grow in confidence. She particularly enjoys coaching performance skills and stage presence, helping students feel comfortable and expressive on stage. Drawing from pop, R&B, and acoustic influences, she also incorporates songwriting and production into her teaching, encouraging students to use music as both a creative and emotional outlet.
