MJ Ancheta is Vancouver-based singer, songwriter, performer, and music instructor rooted in various styles like R&B, Pop, and Soul. With over 20 years of stage experience, she brings a deep understanding of live performance, artistry, and vocal development into every lesson.

MJ began her musical journey at the young age of 3, quickly stepping into the world of competitions, national TV, radio, and live performances. Her early exposure helped shape her into a confident and dynamic musician, with appearances on shows and events such as The Next Star, Philippines Got Talent, Asia's Singing Star and many more.

She is a Full Scholarship awardee at Berklee College of Music, Boston Massachusetts for Performance - Intensive and additionally, holds a Distinction in Music Technology & Engineering diploma from Douglas College with focus on music production, music management, audio engineering, and live studio setup, allowing her to integrate modern production skills, music theory, and creativity within her teaching.

As a multi-instrumentalist and dedicated instructor, MJ remains active in Vancouver’s live music scene. She is passionate about helping students build confidence, find their unique voice and develop as true artists - empowering them to not only improve their skills, but to really love what they do.
